Grammer Part of HSC English 2nd Paper
Fill in the blanks with articles
There is two individual part in HSC English 2nd paper. Part A is Grammar section and Part B is Writing section.In question number 1, students have to fill in the blanks with the appropriate article. There is 10 question and each has 0.5 marks.
To obtain full marks in this segment you must have good knowledge about Article. From class one (1) to ten (10) every student learns articles. So I think this is not very hard questions.
If you answer wisely you can easily get a full score.
Complete the text with suitable prepositions
In the division system (early 90’s), a student had to answer grammar question directly. But current grading system it’s come with a modification. You have to complete the text with suitable prepositions.
So that, if you haven’t proper preposition knowledge you may miss some solid marks. Such as knowing the placement of after, in, to, on, and with can make you a hero. Reversely you may become zero.
Antonym or Synonym
Personally, I like this segment very much.
Do you know why?
Because, more you know the synonym or antonym of a word, more you speak in English smoothly. Moreover, it will give you extra confident about writing or speaking English.
It is closely related to the vocabulary. To get full 5 marks you have to increase your vocabulary skills. As well as learn the synonym and antonym of an individual word.
Now the question is how you get the common in the exam?
It is quite difficult to make grammar suggestion. So we can’t provide it. But, we suggest you follow, read, solve and memorize the previous year questions.
