A Tea Stall

A tea stall is a common place to all classes of people.Besides tea, biscuits, bread, bananas, betel leaf are available here.It opens early in the morning and closcs late at night. It is usually found at the turn of the road, in the railway station or stcamer ghat, near a factory or beside an office.It is not well-furnished.People sit on benches and enjoy tea and betel leaf.A tea stall has usually two parts. In the front part there are chairs, tables and show-cases.In the other part, there is a chula.A boy is employed in a tea stall.Sometimes, the owner himself serves as the boy and cashier.Different kinds of people gather here.They refresh themselves with a cup of tea and discuss different topics especially the current affairs.All kinds of people such as the poor, the rich, the young, the old, the educated and the uneducated come here either to join the discussion or to enjoy it.They discuss different topics such as political issues, sports events and social happenings.Teà stalls are very common in the village sides where people are jobless most of the times.However, both the busy and the unemployed gather in the tea stalls as these are great source of refreshment to them.There are also makeshift tea stalls in towns and cities.In office areas, there are a number of stalls scattered around here and there.Each of the stalls remains crowdy almost all day long.
