The person who sells various things by moving from street to street is a street hawker.He is a self-employed person.He is a familiar figure in cities and towns.In a village, he is also sccn.He makes peculiar sound to draw the attention of his customers.He knows the art of convincing people.Women and children are usually attracted by his calls.They are his main targeted customers.He talks to them very softly and sweetly.So that they buy his products.His work is tiresome. He carries his materials on head, sometimes in hand, sometimes in a bag and sometimes in a small handcart.He generally buys his goods at a cheaper rate and sells them with a good profit.His articles are attractive mainly to women and children.He usually sells toys, cosmetics, bangles, ready-made garments, utensils, sweets, ribbons, fruits etc.Sometimes he keeps the products that arc in demand in a particular area.He always tries to fulfill the customers' demand of goods and products.A street hawker's life is not comfortable at all.Although he works hard, his life is miserable.Almost all the time he leads inhuman life Sometimes he cannot keep body and soul together.He has to starve when he cannot sell anything.Sometimes he sells well but sometimes his sale becomes very low.Besides, when there is any natural calamity or political strike, he cannot go out to sell his products.Then his life becomes miserable and hard.A street hawker plays an important role by fulfilling the demand of many important goods of the people who can not go out.So, a street hawker is a very important person in our society.
