Our National Flag 

The National Flag is the symbol of independence and sovereignty of a nation.Every nation of the world has a national flag of its own. Bangladesh has also her own national flag.The flag looks very nice.The proportion of its length and breadth is 10:6.Our national flag is a rectangular green background with a round red disc like patch in e middle.The radius of the red circle is one-fifth of the total length of the flag.The green colour represents the admiration of youthful vigour as well as the green fields and the evergreen subtropical forests of Bangladesh. The red circle symbolizes the rising sun with new hopes and aspirations of a new nation.The flag is hoisted everyday on the top of our important government buildings and educational institutions.It is mandatory to hoist our flag every morning singing our national anthem with due respect at each and every primary school and madrasha as well as high school.It is also hoisted everywhere on the Independence Day and the Victory Day.The national flag is kept half mast in the days of mourning, e.g. the Martyrs Day.Whenever we see our national flag flying, our mind is filled with joy and Hearts swell in pride.Our national flag always inspires us to dedicate our lives for the greater interest of the country. So, we will protect its honors and value at any cost/We must stay alert of those who want to disrupt peace and amity as well as of those who want to win their own interest at the cost of our national identity.
